In the café we serve coffee by River Coffee – an independent roasters based in Winchester. At River Coffee, Will and his team source their beans directly from the coffee farmers ensuring they are paid well for the work they do. Not only are the beans skilfully roasted, we love how they are delivered weekly to us in zero waste tubs and a tree is planted for every order placed. We reckon it’s the best coffee around and we have really enjoyed working with the River Coffee team since 2018.

Under the supervision of Salt’s head-chef Lucy, our menu changes according to the seasons whether it’s creating dishes to eat in or take away. From a Full English, or Avocado on Toast with fresh chilli to Dressed Crab, sandwiches, soups and toasties you will find something to suit everyone.

The dishes are all prepared onsite by our dedicated kitchen team. We pride ourselves on using good quality ingredients from local suppliers where possible including free range meat, sourdough from Hoxton’s Bakehouse and tomatoes from the Isle of Wight. As well as local cheeses, pâtés and dressed crabs from Devon.

Kids are also catered for with Mini Cheese Toasties, or a Poached Egg on Toast whilst toasted teacakes and homemade scones make the perfect post school treat.
